Harlequin Hotels and Resorts recently hosted an event at The Dorchester for the travel trade. The delightful Jeff Banks was my guest. (hence, why I am looking so pleased!)

Harlequin sponsored the prize for last year’s Best-Dressed Racegoer at York Ebor Races, a fantastic fashion/racing collaboration run by Jeff Banks, (www.fashiononthefield.co.uk ).

Even if he didn’t win Eurovision, the man is a legend , my mum certainly thinks so! He was really kind to her at a recent concert and indulged me when asked to sign souvenir programmes to 4 different people!

Ian Botham’s Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity

The shop was on La Manga Club in Spain. We were there supporting one of our Harlequin agents who was the main sponsor for a 20/20 cricket tournament in support of Ian Botham’s Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity (www.beatbloodcancers.org) .In return for his sponsorship, he was able to deliver a seminar on pensions and Harlequin Property to the ex-pats at La Manga.

Watson Benefit Dinner at Dorchester as guest of Barry Hearn

Barry Hearn invited me to the Michael Watson Benefit Dinner at The Dorchester to mark the 20th anniversary of his fight with Chris Eubank, which ended with Watson in a coma for 40 days. He had 6 operations and had to learn to walk again. In 2003,he completed the London Marathon in 6 days. He does extensive charity work himself. It was very moving.

I was honoured to represent Harlequin Hotels and Resort, sponsors of Fashion on the Field Best Dressed Racegoer 2011 at York Races last week. The prize was a holiday for two at their luxurious Buccament Bay resort in St Vincent. I spent the day with Jeff Banks, Mark Heyes from Lorraine’s show and top milliner, Yvette Jelfs, (who provided my gorgeous hat.) Everyone was so lovely.
